Enough with the snow, already

April is not supposed to mean this:

I was reading farm-witch yesterday, and she was talking about their snowstorm from this week, and I was sitting and saying to myself, ah Maine; you get that in Maine.

I guess you get that not just in Maine.

Feh. That'll teach me.

Knitting is progressing again, at last. I have some writing meandering around in my head, too, which is fun and a good thing.

Cheerio, all!

Oh, believe you me, it happens all over the place. Here, for example, where it went from 70 degrees to 30 in approximately 12 hours.

Funny, I have that same picture on my blog ;) Oh well, this will just make the kids' baseball practice that much more interesting.
It's got to warm up soon...right?

er, you also see that in New York, and not necessarily the north country either (I don't consider Syracuse as "North Country")

So I get out there this morning and shovel off enough so we can get Taz's wheelchair out and onto the school van. Then I get Grant up to take Taz out, because the snow may not be deep but it's really really heavy and my back can't face any more heavy lifting right then.

On our way to work Grant surveys the landscape and says, "Snow is very pretty when you don't have to shovel it."
"Grrr," I reply.
"Oops," says Grant.

I'm planning to let the sun melt the snow off my driveway and walk. Because I just don't DO shoveling in April.
